When you think of cruising, what comes to mind? Do you picture a large ship with thousands of people island hopping in the Caribbean? Or can you envision a luxurious small ship with carefully planned itineraries and fewer than two hundred passengers on board? If it is the latter, you have come to the right place!
I started in the travel industry because of my love of travel and how much I enjoyed planning trips for myself and my husband, Joe, and all our friends. Applying the dedication and attention to detail I perfected during a 30-year career on Wall Street, I dove right in and began making other peoples’ travel dreams a reality. I soon realized that in travel, just like on Wall Street, you need to focus rather than generalize. But it wasn’t until my first river cruise, AmaWaterways’ Colors of Provence, that I discovered a new-found passion in River Cruising. Although not my first trip to Europe, or even to the South of France, there was something magical about watching the countryside float by from the sundeck of a river cruise ship. It was relaxing, educational and convivial — and I was hooked! Cruising down the Rhone River under the warm French sunshine, I realized that the delights of River Cruising were something I wanted to share with everyone. River Cruising was simply the most enjoyable and relaxing way to visit multiple countries and enjoy ever-changing views, while only having to unpack once. Since that first cruise in 2016, I have taken 14 AmaWaterways River Cruises throughout Europe and South East Asia. I like to think that I'm traveling the world, one river at a time.
But it was my culinary background as a graduate of the French Culinary Institute and my love of all things food and wine which led me to create Bon Vivant Voyages. With Bon Vivant Voyages, I combine my two passions — River Cruising and Culinary Adventures. I understand that my clients not only want to visit a destination, they want to experience it. And what better way to experience a destination than through its food.
