I had the opportunity to view the stark contrast between East Berlin and West Berlin, and I witnessed the moment when Checkpoint Charlie was lifted away. I still have pieces of the Berlin Wall that I keep to remind me of the importance of peace, and to emphasize the significance of travel when it comes to learning about others.
