Leisure Trip of Dreams

After two decades of the corporate life, I realize that I spend half of my days in my office dreaming about being somewhere else, on an adventure. I absolutely love visiting new places, and baring witness to unique landforms, and cultures through sight and sound, taste and smell.A good trip is always life changing. Nothing enriches your life quite like good travel and the more I travel, the more I want to travel. Thus Daydream Vacations was born.

There are currently more places on my “go see” list than my “been there” list, but I have been to quite a few. Of course, there are my favorites, such as a good cruise, or a trip to Disney World or my all -time favorite country, Iceland (I think I was born there in another life). As my husband likes to point out: “There are other Icelands out there, we need to go and find them.”

I want to share these experiences and my passion with others. My hope is that my clients create lasting memories, that the bonds between companions grow tighter, that minds are enriched by wonder, and that souls become just a little fuller. I hope my clients are enlivened with awe and inspiration as I have been and that their love for travel has deepened just a little bit more.

I plan travel experiences for families, couples, or solo travelers. As a former working corporate mom, I understand how limited the hours in the day are, and how exhaustion and frustration creep in and affects the brain; everything from decisions to mood. I also understand how incredibly valuable family memories are, when you don’t get quality time on a day-to-day basis.I’d like to create a stress-free, genuine, and efficient planning process so that my clients can get the best possible value without missing a beat, and so that when the time comes to embark, they can have the best possible experience and quality vacation.

Talk Disney to me: What can I say? I’m a millennial woman! ng all things Disney - the movies, the songs, the princesses, the parks! I was fortunate enough to make it in person to Disney world a few times growing up; twice with my parents and twice with my high school and each visit was just as magical as the last. As an adult, I have also been many times and it seems I’m planning my next trip even before my return flight touches down.

The thing about the Disney parks is the light feeling that inhabits your body when you arrive, and stays with you for some time even after your return home. The truly immersive genuine soul reaching goodness that lifts your spirits and makes you forget about your worries and and your strife….. It’s freedom, it’s happiness, it’s ecstasy. Well, it’s dopamine! And it’s incredibly addictive. It’s no wonder so many Disney adults exist in the world today and want to share that lightness and wonder with their own children.

I’ve been planning Disney trips my whole life. I remember being a little kid, my mom had ordered a Disney planning VHS tape and I would occasionally bust it out, pop it in the VCR and watch it. Take it out, pop it in the rewinder (remember those things!?) and push the button, grab a snack maybe. Pop it back in the VCR and watch it again. And over and over and over again, even long after that tape was horribly outdated. Heck, I would still watch it if we had it (or the technology!). For days on need I would imagine another trip to Florida. What resort would we stay at this time? Would it be better than the last trip? What characters would we see at breakfast? Who’s autograph do I not have yet in my autograph book? Should I ask for a new pen? What’s new at Epcot, and could we catch a glimpse of the mysterious and elusive adults only Downtown Disney? It looked so cool and I couldn’t wait to grow up so I could experience that atmosphere.

Fast forward 30 years later, and I have my own kids to share Disney with. Before my first kiddo was even born, I remember stating defiantly “ We are taking her to Walt Disney World for her5th Birthday and not a moment later!” I had a difficult time coming to terms with becoming a mother back then. And while I’d never give that experience up in a million years, an anticipated trip to Disney, sharing that wonder with my child even 5 years down the road is what got me through it. We finally got to take her, and as I bawled silently like a baby with her and my husband watching fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle at Magic Kingdom that trip (Possibly twice), I thought “Wow. This is my life. It doesn’t get much better than this.” And THAT is what I hope I can help you experience, friends. That realization of awe and wonder that hits you hard and deep, and makes you bawl like a baby at nothing in particular, just the love of being alive and present.

And there's more...much, much more!
