From the time I was a young child, I traveled. My family instilled the love to learn and travel became my 'food' for learning. I want to know about places of the world, their people, their culture.My first 'love' was Italy. I was a mere 18 years old and was given a graduation gift to travel Italy and Greece. It opened up such a new world for me and from then on, I traveled every chance I could get. I married, graduated college, had a family. Every opportunity that came along, I continued to travel with my family and friends, celebrating events, personal birthdays and anniversaries, exploring new places. A natural progression resulted in helping friends and family members plan their vacations also. We spanned the United States, journeyed to Canada and Central America, cruised the Caribbean, explored different islands, and hopped the Pacific as far as Hawaii until 2005.That’s when our son moved to Okinawa, Japan. It was somewhere my husband and I had never been, and honestly, had never considered at that point. It was one of those life’s twists we didn’t anticipate. After a career in the corporate world and many wonderful years of travel, Escape and Go Travel was born in 2011. Loving travel and wanting to share and educate others in how to see the world, this was a perfect fit. Earlier I mentioned I was smitten by Italy. I've been back to see as much of this beautiful country as many times as possible.But, while in the 'neighborhood', why not visit other countries, right? And, that's what I did. It's so easy to hop a plane, train, or automobile. Hence, I can help you experience Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.  And...even a second continent, Asia.  We now live our winters in Okinawa, as anyone knows, Minnesota isn’t too desirable those months.  And again, while in the 'neighborhood', we've taken the opportunity to explore Taiwan and Thailand.  The warmth of not only the temperatures, but the people is immeasurable.  They have taught us much about history and cultures.Never fear, no matter where I am in this big, vast world, your travels are just as important and we are available for you.
