Cliffs of Moher

My favorite type of vacation is one that allows travelers to get to know the people of a destination and get beyond the "tourist trail". I'm particularly fond of Ireland, for the beautiful scenery, the history and the friendly people who live there.

I'm a native of Texas, was raised in North Carolina and currently reside in Atlanta, so I have a good feel for different regions of the US. I'm also an actor and the communication skills I learned on the stage have been a big help to me in the travel business. I find that I'm good at creating word pictures for my clients, as well as getting my point across in a foreign destination where I don't speak the language.

Traveling to France on a high school trip got me hooked on the travel industry. Experiencing the French culture, eating the food and viewing the centuries of history made me want to meet people from all over the globe and see all that the world had to offer.

I strongly believe in staying up to date on what's new in the travel industry. To that end, I travel whenever I can and seek out continuing education opportunities. To date, I have earned a Tauck Tours Certification, CIE Shamrock Certification, and Tourism Ireland Certification. I am working on Delta Vacations, and Railbookers certifications next.

When I'm not working or traveling, I enjoy attending live theater performances, tackling house projects, crafting and baking.
