My life is travel! I divide my time between planning trips, traveling, and spending time with my family. I also love photography, so traveling and taking pictures make a great combination,
I am a travel agency owner with over 20 years of experience in luxury cruising and customized trips around the world. Through my ongoing relationships with preferred suppliers, I am able to provide exceptional deals and privileged treatment for my guests.
As a European custom travel specialist, I have created over 100 unique trips all over the continent. Whether it’s a journey for a couple, extended family, or a group of friends, I’ll do all of the planning and legwork in advance to provide you the best Europe has to offer.
The tour companies that I work with like Tauck, Tradesco, and Abercrombie & Kent regularly deliver impeccable experiences and service for my most discriminating explorers.
I’ve personally traveled to a dozen countries in Europe, with the majority of my time spent in Italy. I have sent many guests to Italy on custom trips, including cooking classes, winery visits, heritage touring, and more.
An Italian vacation can please anyone, from honeymooners to extended families! You might stay at a restful villa in the countryside, explore romantic Venice during the carnival season, or possibly discover the beautiful lakes district where you could spot George Clooney!
I have also arranged many European river cruise tours on Viking Cruises and AMA Waterways. These lines provide the luxury amenities cruisers expect and offer unmatched access to the quaint villages and towns that dot the Danube, Loire and Rhine.
I’ve also designed combination land-cruise trips with customized itineraries to make the most of your vacation time.
I’m a Luxury Cruise Specialist certified by CLIA (Cruise Line International Association) with personal experience on over 30 cruises and a dozen cruise lines.
Lest you think I only have experience with Europe, let me tell you I’ve traveled extensively to Mexico, the Caribbean and other exotic locations to experience the finest resorts and restaurants first-hand.
My most recent trip took me to Belize. I stayed in two Francis Ford Coppola resorts and snorkeled with stingrays and nurse sharks.
Before I send a couple to a romantic destination, I always ensure they’re going to a place I have seen and approved.
My favorite honeymoon to book? Africa. For a recent honeymoon couple who wanted something exotic, I planned a trip to South Africa. This exceptional journey combined the exciting contrasts of Africa. From private touring in the cosmopolitan city Cape Town to the natural wonders of game drives in Kruger National Park.
This lucky duo saw the "Big Five"—5 astonishing African animals to see in the wild—including leopards at night! Stops included 2 different luxury safari camps and then on to a beach resort in Zanzibar to relax and refresh. I’ve enjoyed sending honeymoon couples to Africa to form memories that will last a lifetime. I can’t wait to go back myself!

We have used Kate to plan several amazing adventures. She is easy to work with and listens to what we want from a trip. She responds to emails quickly and is extremally flexible when changes need to be made. When planning our last trip to Mexico, Kate suggested an amazing all-inclusive resort, Atelier, with a golf course. Due to some unforeseen events, we needed to reschedule the trip three times! Dream honeymoon!

Kate was wonderful to work with to plan our honeymoon, from our initial phone call to ironing out our exact itinerary. She made sure everything was well arranged for us ahead of time, from transport between hotels to daytime excursions, so that we could fully relax and not have to worry about coordinating ourselves. Tour pickups were timely and we really valued the chance to learn from the local guides about their country and its amazing geography and wildlife. Kate really listened and understood what we were looking for in our destinations and tours, and we had a blast at all of them. Additionally, the lodging she recommended for us was consistently stunning. As lovers of the local fare (rice, beans, fresh produce), we felt the food was outstanding. Our only piece of feedback would be to provide a bit more detail on what to expect during the tours (i.e. exact length, order of activities, estimated number of people in the group), but we understand that this can be hard to predict.

Over the years we have taken countless trips with Prestige Travel with Kate researching and assembling them. Some just with my wife and I and some with our entire family. Countless domestic and international destinations. Kate is the consummate "PRO" and is with you from start to finish. The most recent trip was to Charleston, SC. Perfect accommodations, perfect activity and dining coordination. We had a great time and and Kate knew the exact right hotel and relaxing schedule for us. Have Passport (and Vaccination)...Will Travel

Kate collaborated with us on our recent Turks & Caicos adventure. It was truly awesome!! She helped us with selection of accommodations, travel arrangements and things-to-do on the island. The West Bay Club resort was wonderful and had a great boutique-y feel with very friendly and helpful staff. Some of the larger resorts in the Grace Bay area weren't really a fit for our taste. West Bay Club was just the right size, and our 2 bedroom villa was both practical and very nicely appointed. The activities we took advantage of and restaurants recommended by Kate were all first rate.
After working with Kate on this Turks vacation and a truly memorable journey to Europe in 2019, we're already thinking about potential new destinations to explore with Kate's assistance!

Amazing Trip w/ a Serious Twist

The bucket list trip of a lifetime with my wife and daughters to celebrate her special birthday. We had worked with Kate on several other memorable trips . The trips have always been terrific and without issue. I worked with Kate who concurrently worked with an established DM firm on this Japan trip to pull together all the amazing and time consuming details necessary to make this trip extra special. Without warning and after being fully planned and paid directly by us the DM firm abruptly shuttered their doors and became silent. We learned that no payments had ever been forwarded to the Japanese firms who would deliver the on ground services. Kate became Super-Kate. She immediately did all of the research necessary to help us restore our financial loss. She found a way to work directly with the in Japan supplier to restore their trust, and exactly rebuild the trip. I recommend Kate and Prestige Travel to anyone who wants to know that she has your back and is a real Pro.

Wonderful Trip!!

We spent 2 days in Paris, Kate picked a lovely hotel with a balcony and a view of the Eiffel Tower. On to Normandy, Kate arranged great tours of the beaches , Mont St. Michel and taps at the cemetery. The 2 chateaus we stayed at were lovely. All of her restaurant recommendations were fantastic. Kate is a pleasure to work with and we love her print out of the itinerary to keep us on track!

Our trip was amazing! It was not lost on us how hard Kate worked to provide a great travelling experience. She thought of everything! This was a cruise we booked a year before COVID. It was cancelled. Viking kept a certain amount to be carried over to the next cruise. One day she calls to let us know we still have the credit. We had forgotten about it. We booked a similar cruise. The cruise was amazing. But the best part was Kate! We always felt an extra layer of security knowing Kate was always available to help. We cannot wait to book our next trip with Kate.

Great Getaway With My Daughter

I emailed Kate on a Thursday evening, and she had booked our flights and trip to Cancun by noon on Friday! I really couldn't believe it. Given the COVID situation, hotels were beginning to open. And she knew exactly where to recommend us. She recommended a terrific all-inclusive location that was just right for a Mother/Daughter last-minute getaway. She even arranged premier transportation from the airport to the hotel, where we could avoid the chaos of the Cancun airport. We used Kate to help plan and manage our Honeymoon. She made life SOOOO much easier for us, especially considering all the wedding plans we already had to deal with. We ended up with a 3 day stay in Rome, followed by a 10 night cruise through Italy, Turkey and Greece. She handled everything from airline arrangements to private guided tours. She had a driving service there for us at the airport, as well as to take us to and from the port of the cruise. I 100% plan to use Kate for all my future travels. My husband and I were very fortunate to work with Kate when it came time to plan our honeymoon. She answered all of our questions, and gave us exactly what we were looking for. From the beginning, we discussed budget and what we had in mind for our ideal honeymoon. Kate found us an all inclusive resort and it was within our budget. The resort in Mexico was absolutely perfect, especially being newly weds. The resort accommodated our every need, and we were given a little wedding package, which was absolutely amazing. If it wasn't for Kate, we would not have been able to go on our perfect honeymoon! We cannot thank her enough, and we appreciated everything she has done!

We have been planning vacations with skate for about 4 years. Our last one (June 2015) was more complicated then the others as we flew from Philadelphia to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Prague, Prague to Stockholm, picked up a 7 day Baltic cruise, ended in Copenhagen, stayed there as well, flew back to Amsterdam, and then home. 18 perfectly planned days. From the flights, transfers, hotels, cruise, guided tour and more, every detail was seamless. Kates makes your vacation so effortless from the planning stage on, that when you come home you want to plan your next trip. Which we are doing right now.

Kate designed a fabulous 12-day trip for us to Italy. In addition to seeing the sights in Florence, Tuscany, Rome and Pompeii, we took a side-trip to the remote town of Gamberale to visit distant relatives whom we'd never met. This was a true highlight of the trip. We ended our vacation with 3 relaxing days in Positano on the gorgeous Amalfi Coast. Throughout the trip, our hotels were perfectly located, our guides were knowledgeable, and our drivers were terrific. Every detail was expertly handled and the entire trip flowed flawlessly. She arranged hotels, tours, and flights through Amsterdam, Prague, Stockholm , and Copenhagen, as well as a 7 day cruise through the Baltic Sea. She made it all seem so effortless. Been working with Kate for more than 10 years. She is attentive and plans things according to our budget. If trying to save a few dollars when taking the kids to a resort or over seas etc she has great suggestions. When planning for just the 2 of us and we want a little more luxury she knows how to get it done. Fabulous trip to Greece last month. Everthing perfect without a hitch. Arranges transfers, hotels, guides, tours, etc and make the whole experience fun and without hassle, so when we arrive we can relax and not stress the little stuff that everyone knows can put a serious drag on our short times to unwind and get away. Who needs to worry about getting taken for a bad taxi ride when there is a van prepaid waiting for you. Use Kate. Won't go wrong. And she's been everywhere so nothing like first hand knowledge.

Kate has been our travel agent for quite some time. We have been on different kinds of cruises upon her recommendation. As I am not fond of big ships, she planned our first journey on a small yacht. We loved it and had a fantastic time. We were hooked. We booked a river cruise with Kate a few years back. This last cruise took us from Barcelona to Lisbon. As a busy working Mom, it was difficult for me to make the time to properly research the overwhelming Disney experience. Friends of mine have spent months/ even years researching and planning their Disney trips and I just didn't have the time so thought to reach out to Kate. I expressed to her that I wanted the trip to be Toddler friendly, and as "easy" as possible for us. Kate made everything from the flights, travel connections, hotel and activity reservations EASY and SEAMLESS! She also gave me a "Disney 101" education. Everything I needed to know, she taught me :) We had only one minor glitch in our airport transfer that had NOTHING to do with Kate, and she went above and beyond to reach out to that vendor to not only express our frustration but to have our entire cost refunded for the service. Bottom line- Kate is knowledgeable, VERY responsive, and truly cares about her clients and the level of satisfaction they receive. On short notice, Kate successfully arranged our custom two-week family trip for four to Japan. Her contacts with detailed knowledge of the country, practices, and culture were imperative to our trip's running smoothly. She connected us with an agent that had detailed experiences and contacts in Japan. Honeymoon Savior!!!

My wife and I owe everything to Kate for putting together such an amazing honeymoon in Saint Lucia! Throughout the entire planning process, she was incredibly patient with us as we overloaded her with potential destinations we were curious about. We eventually booked Saint Lucia in May 2016 for a September honeymoon - Kate set us up with the right flights, arranged for our transportation on the island, and booked us at two wonderful resorts (one more intimate/romantic; the other a smaller all inclusive). It was everything we wanted that fit our interests and, of course, budget. And so it wasn't until the night before our 6 am departure (as I was checking us in online) that I realized my passport had expired 6 days prior.....sure enough, Kate was there to save us! She was on the phone with me that night (about 10:30 pm) to figure out a revised game plan. Within 24 hours she managed to preserve our entire honeymoon package by moving our departure out 4 days, allowing me to renew my passport and re book our flights (Delta miraculously gave me a 100% refund without penalty). Had this happened without Kate as our travel agent, I don't think we ever would have gotten to Saint Lucia. Kate, you're the best - thank you for setting Anita and I up with such a memorable honeymoon (we know you went above and beyond)!! We'll most definitely be in touch when we plan our next trip!

Italy!

Kate booked us an amazing trip to Italy. She was easy to work with and extremely responsive to all our questions.
We started our trip in Rome, then a week in an incredible villa in Tuscany we then ventured to Venice and Stresa where we spent another week on Lake Maggiore. Forget about Lake Como and let Kate take you to Stresa what a beautiful place. Everywhere we went was amazing, her recommendations, were just what we liked. She really listens to your needs to get you to the best places. The transfers & car rentals were so reliable that in itself was unbelievable. We didn't have to think of a thing. Kate got us an english speaking GPS and an Italian cell phone to make calls to make reservations at restaurants or if we were walking around a city and were lost we had someone to help us. Kate was soooo good that we have booked another trip with her for next year, this time a cruise to the Baltics and I am entrusting her with my son and future daughter in law. She has booked their honeymoon and they have never been out of the country and I know they will get to everywhere they are going with ease. Thank you Kate you truly are the best!

Kate helped us with our honeymoon. We had a place in mind that did not match our budget. She spoke to me at length to find out what exactly we were looking for and what type of people we were. She gave us a location that I never would have thought about explaining that we will have a five star place and treatment for exactly what we were looking for. The other location was over our budget and we wouldn't have had such a great place and wouldn't have been able to stay for as long as we wanted to. Kate explained to me what would be expected, organized great flights, transportation to and from the airport, sent us an extremely helpful book with our itinerary, information about the resort and area, etc., neon luggage tags and all in an convenient travel bag. Everything went so smoothly and she was right on point with where we stayed. She travels personally to a lot of these places, so her recommendations are personal a lot of times. I will use her again when I travel and recommend her to others in the future. Kate is extremely helpful, personable, pleasant and takes the time to learn exactly who you are and what you want to she can send you to the perfectly fitting place. We wanted a fun, interesting as well as relaxing vacation this year and wanted it too be in Portugal, a place where we never had visited. We stayed at a great location in Lisbon- Pestana Pousada. Not only was the hotel and staff first class, the location could not have been better. Kate had recommended some day trips and, although we did no book them ahead of time because of medical issues, in retrospect, we wish we had. We also rented a car and drive to the Algarve for several days. There was a little snafu at the car rental with the company itself but we contacted Kate and she was very responsive. Kate booked us in a great location in the Algarve. We returned for one day to Lisbon and stayed at another Pestana- the Palacio-- exceptional choice! We have used Kate for several European trips,?inclyding our honeymoon, and every trip has been ideal!

After discussing our group's budget and areas of interest, she came up with a few all-inclusives she felt would best suit our needs. We then worked together and agreed Breathless Rivera Cancun would be the perfect spot....and it was! The Resort was incredible and had everything we were looking for. We have been using Kate's travel planning services for about 4 years. We have taken several trips, some with our daughters (18 & 26) and some alone with just my wife and I. The travel has been to Western and Eastern Europe and into the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. When planning travel and tours with Kate to places where she has travelled, and experienced activities there; she is amazing! All has been right on target for our style and caliber of travel. The 1 and only cruise was also excellent. When Kate has not personally traveled to a location or done certain location/tour activities, she relies on a professional Supplier/Broker with whom she has a business relationship to recommend tours and lodging. Our experience in this area with Kate has been reasonably good. All in all Kate is a high caliber travel professional and has provided services to us at that level.
