My passion for cruising began in 2009 when after a yearlong deployment to Iraq with the United States Army my wife and I spent a week aboard the Carnival Conquest to celebrate all the special occasions that we missed during my time away. I was a truly memorable week at sea and one that we attempt to recreate several times a year. One of the best things about cruising is meeting fellow passengers on-board. If single, a couple or even part of a family, cruise lines can offer plenty of chances to meet new people. With all the events held and interaction with other guests, many people have met lifelong new friends and even new loved ones.
