One of the most fun parts about travel is experiencing other cultures and the foods they call their favorites. I'm always a bit more adventurous when I travel, but I'll never be as brave at eating odd specialties as my husband. I love Mexico, my grandparents met there and had a deep love of the people and culture, as well as the food and they passed it on to their children and grandchildren.

I am partial to the white sand and turquoise water of the Caribbean. The second largest barrier reef runs along that part of Mexico, into some of the most amazing countries to scuba dive. From someone who learned to dive in a pool and a lake, it is absolutely outstanding. I did dive Yellowstone Lake once, it was so very cold and barren. The Caribbean is much warmer and visually stunning.

I also love Hawaii. If I could, I would move to Kauai in a heart beat. My husband's business keeps us on the continent, but the laid-back vibe and beautiful beaches of Hawaii could keep me happy forever. I love to snorkel around the islands.

I help people experience these places, in addition to the rest of the Caribbean. River cruising in Europe is a bit different, but it's a particular passion for me, especially if my clients have ancestry from the locations they are visiting. I love helping people find their ancestral countries and homes. I have been studying Family History/Genealogy for awhile, and it changes you when you find your place of origin and get an opportunity to walk where your family walked.

My husband and I decided to ... Read more from my Beating Cabin Fever in Mexico story.
