It's nice to meet you! I can't wait to help you with your next dream vacation or getaway!!
I caught the travel bug at a young age when I traveled to Paris with my parents at the age of 9 years old, and I've been traveling both domestically and internationally ever since!
Many of my personal travel interests focus on art and history: I have a BA and an MA in Art History, with a focus in European Art. Extensive graduate education has given me great insight into the cultures and histories of many of the greatest cities and nations of Europe, so that I feel very confident and familiar in my knowledge of them even if I haven't personally visited.
In 2009, I spent two months in Greece, traveling as a tourist for a week and a half, and then working on a major ongoing archaeological excavation near the town of Ancient Corinth.
I have extensive experience with France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany, Budapest, and Austria, all of which I've visited numerous times. I have also studied the German language and German culture extensively, so I can help you feel especially comfortable in Germanic destinations. The fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle outside of Munich, and the museums in the beautiful and elegant city of Vienna are two of my must-see recommendations if you're considering a trip to Germany or Austria!
In June of 2018, I spent 18 days traveling through 5 regions of France, getting to know the unique cultures and histories of Paris, Normandy, the Loire Valley, Provence and the Luberon, and the French Riviera. More recently, I have also spent some time in Madrid and Granada in Spain; Granada is one of my new favorite global destinations and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in European history and culture, as well as the history of Islamic and Jewish Spain.
In the first half of 2019, I embarked upon an AmaWaterways river cruise down the Danube, and an extended stay in Nuremburg, Germany.
Aside from Europe, I've also traveled to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka in Japan, and to a number of Caribbean islands, as well as Honduras, Mexico, and multiple visits to one of my favorite destinations: Puerto Rico. I have personal experience with Celebrity Cruises as well. I have booked 80+ stays at all-inclusives throughout the Caribbean, and am very familiar with many of the major resorts and brands.
Domestically, I've paid numerous visits to New York City and Chicago and am very familiar and in love with both cities. The Bay Area of California, Washington DC, and Amelia Island down south are some other personal favorites.
I have extensive experience booking European river cruises, guided tours, and individual customized travel experiences to a number of European destinations such as Portugal, Iceland, and Eastern Europe, as well as Caribbean resorts, and South American cruises! I am also well-versed in planning trips to Argentina and Chile, as well as Asian destinations like Vietnam, Japan, and Thailand. I love planning trips to Asia in particular, and hope to send more travelers to that region of the world!
I am also delighted to help you plan a trip especially focused on art, archaeology, and history, as these are my major specialties and passions! Whether you want to visit the most famous museums of the world, or find the lesser-known gems that the average tourist misses, I am ready to set up your dream trip.
I can't wait to hear from you!!
