Disney World Stays

Disney World at Christmas Time
Disney World at Christmas Time

Disney World is an amazing place to visit and there are so many resorts to visit and stay.  Often picking the resort is the hardest part for people.  Since the pandemic, I have tried to experience as many of the hotels at Disney World.  Here are some of my thoughts about the most recent resorts to best help you make a decision.

Grand Floridian:

Pros: This deluxe resort is the flagship resort that you see in videos about Disney World.  This resort has it all including a spa.  It is a magical place to stay with so many different room types that you can find something that works for your family.  There are amazing Theme Park views of the castle.  There are many restaurant options including Victoria and Alberts that is a fine dining experience.  This resort is one monorail stop away from Magic Kingdom.

Con:  It can be loud in the main building as people want to visit this resort often.

Wilderness Lodge:

Pros:  This resort is great with great food options, bar area and Geyser Point is excellent all times of year.  This resort has lots of different options for room and room types.  There are a few rooms that do have the view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom.  The pool area is great too and there are fun activities around the resort. You have access to Extended Evening Hours in the parks on select nights.

Con:  It mostly has bus transportation, except to Magic Kingdom where it has boat transportation.

Caribbean Beach Resort:

Pros: This resort is a moderate resort that has access to the Skyliner.  The Skyliner will take you to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.  Caribbean Beach Resort feels like the Caribbean and makes you feel like you are on vacation.  The outdoor bar area is wonderful and the pool area is fun for all ages.

Con:  It is a larger resort and has internal bus stops to get around the resort.

Pop Century Resort:

Pros:  Pop Century is a Value resort at Disney World and is on the Skyliner.  This means quick access to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.  This resort is great for budget families that wants to have a hotel that include Disney touches.

Con:  The rooms are small and there is oe quick service option for dining.
