My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to travel to Scotland a couple of years ago and we had an absolutely amazing time. One of the highlights for me personally was riding on the Jacobite Steam Train, also known as the Hogwarts Express. If you are a big Harry Potter fan, this should be at the top of your list of things to do while in Scotland! The train takes you over the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct seen in the movies and begins in Fort William while ending in Mallaig. We took the train round trip and had amazing views the entire time. We sat in first class and I highly recommend upgrading to this so you can have your own table - and the afternoon tea and snacks were a great bonus! Overall, this was an amazing experience and I'm so glad I have this memory!
