My view while hiking the pitons

Nestled on the southwestern coast of St. Lucia, the Pitons are two majestic volcanic peaks that rise dramatically from the azure Caribbean Sea. These UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Gros Piton and Petit Piton, are a sight to behold, standing tall and proud amidst lush rainforests and vibrant flora. The Pitons are not only a natural wonder but also a symbol of St. Lucia's rich history and cultural significance.
There are two main hiking trails that lead to the summits of the Pitons. The Gros Piton Trail is the more popular and challenging one, offering a steep ascent that requires a moderate level of fitness. As you make your way up, you'll be rewarded with stunning vistas of the island, the sparkling Caribbean Sea, and the surrounding rainforest. The Petit Piton Trail, on the other hand, is a bit more technical and suited for experienced hikers. I decided to go big, and chose the Petit Piton Trail. While it was incredibly challenging in nature to begin with, half way through out hike it decided to rain. Not only was I exhausted from the hike, and drenched - but the trail had also become mud. This was an adventure like no other. When we reached to top, the rain cleared up, and we were given the most beautiful rainbow as a "congratulations you made it!"
