Our First River Cruise was on The Great Lakes
In 2019, we had the ultimate vacation experience with a river cruise on American Queen Victory I through the Great Lakes. We flew into Chicago and boarded the ship, where we spent a day sailing on Lake Michigan. We visited Mackinac Island and the Grand Hotel for a fabulous meal before heading to Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, Little Current/Manitoulin Island, Ontario, and a scenic day on Lake Huron. We also stopped in Detroit, Michigan, Cleveland, Ohio, Niagra Falls Port Colborne, Ontario, and departed from Toronto, Ontario. We had a wonderful time and so many excursions! We visited the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, had a wine tasting at Chateau des Charmes, visited museums, and experienced Indian dance and craft presentations at the OJIBWE Cultural Foundation. We also enjoyed onboard teas and desserts, as well as a visit to the Henry Ford Museum. It was a great time and an unforgettable experience!
