A surprise trip to Disney World/Universal Studios for my family was an unforgettable experience! With my 5-year-old daughter, teenage boys, and a husband who had never been to Disney/Universal Studios before, I knew it would be a magical adventure. I meticulously planned a 6-night, 7-day stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort, with two connecting rooms and 7-day park hopper tickets.
On the first day of our arrival, we hopped off Disney's Magical Express bus and headed straight to the hotel to check-in. Our excitement was palpable as we wasted no time and made our way to Magic Kingdom. As we walked through the gates, the sheer amazement on my daughter's face was priceless. Her wide-eyed wonder and my husband's awe-filled expression brought tears to my eyes. Finally, my dream had come true. That moment marked the beginning of countless cherished memories that we still fondly recall years later.
As the afternoon progressed, rain showered down on us. Despite forgetting to bring ponchos, my enthusiasm for the parks was undeterred. We embraced the rain, purchased ponchos on the go, and continued riding rides while others sought shelter. We ended up drenched but exhilarated, laughing at our soaked state like drenched rats (haha)!
Later that evening, we had a dining reservation at Grand Floridian. The dining experience was truly enchanting as we dined with Cinderella, the Prince, Fairy Godmother, and the Step Sisters. Although we didn't have time to freshen up at the hotel, it didn't dampen our spirits. We laughed, smiled, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner together, creating memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. The pictures from that evening captured the pure joy and happiness we experienced.
