Castle on the Rhine

Our Rhine river cruise started with two nights in Zurich where we visited Lake Lucern and enjoyed the beauty of the Swiss Alps.  Next we left for Nuremberg where we boarded the Avalon Waterways river boat for our cruise to Amsterdam.  Along the way we saw many castles and quaint towns with so many beautiful cathedrals and towns.  I cannot express enough how the history you experience with a river cruise brings.  Next we disembarked in Amsterdam.  You can spend a whole week in Amsterdam but we had only two days to explore.  So we saw Anne Frank's House, Van Gogh Museum, and so many canals.  We even went out of the city to a Holland Village.
