Bullet trains in Japan
One of the first thing that usually comes to mind when thinking of Japan are their bullet trains.
Bullet trains, formally called Shinkansen, are the best transportation resource in Japan. The trains connect to all major cities, and most minor cities, and go at a speed of approximately 199 mph. Aside from being an exciting ride, they are extremely easy to use.
You can get a Japan Rail pass, that allows you unlimited rides for a period of time. For a common first-time-in-Japan itinerary, the train is great. Tokyo-Kyoto-Nara-Kyoto-Hiroshima-Osaka are all easily connected!
On the trains, you'll have access to free wifi, luggage storage, and the option for special seating, should you need it.
Unless you prefer having a private driver for your Japan trip, the bullet train is definitely the best method of transport!
