Scarlet Night Party Getting Started

I have been fortunate enough to travel on two separate Virgin Voyages cruises in the recent past, with more to come in the near future.  Virgin has truly revolutionized what cruising means and is the ideal vacation for open-minded, contemporary adults.  From dining concepts that are unique, to cutting edge entertainment, to epic parties, to phenomenal and attentive staff members, Virgin truly hits the mark. 

My most recent trip was in the Mediterranean on Valiant Lady (2nd of their ships).  The itinerary (roundtrip Barcelona) was unique and very enjoyable. We had a full day stop in Marseille, France and in Cannes, France and then we had overnight stops in both Palma de Mallorca, Spain and Ibiza, Spain.  Being able to stay overnight in Ibiza took this itinerary from good to truly great. 

As a solo traveler, I had no problem meeting many other travelers and became friends with a good few.  Virgin’s approach to solo travelers is very welcoming and they foster an environment that makes it easy to connect with other solo travelers. 

Virgin’s adult only policy is another thing that makes a huge difference.  People are more willing to let their hair down and to let their inner child out.  From the adult pajama party on deck on the first night (what a great icebreaker) to the adult swings and see-saws on the top deck, they have created a place where adults can have fun.  Then, of course, is the entertainment which, without children, can be more cutting edge and risqué.  From a drag queen who performs her own solo show as well as hosts bingo and other activities to the extraordinarily immersive “Miss Behave” show and everything in between, the entertainment is so fantastic. 

While I could go on and on, I’d rather get you on-board to experience the Virgin Voyages magic for yourself.  I’ll end by reminding you to pack something red so that you can be an active participant in The Scarlet Night activities and poolside (and in the pool) dance party.  These events are hosted by your outstanding “Happenings Cast” and they will go out of their way to make sure your trip is great.  Take some time to get to know them.
