Before heading to our Holy Land Cruise, we made a quick 3-day visit to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. This was the first time we had ever visited this amazing city, and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the scenery incredible and we enjoyed walking this beautiful old city. 

On our first afternoon there, we did a one-hour wine and cheese canal cruise with Flagship Amsterdam. The experience was incredible. The captain was knowledgeable and the wine and cheese were very tasty. Learning about the architecture and the house boats on the canal made the trip both fun and educational. 

Be prepared to walk and remember there are more bikes than people in Amsterdam! 

Must sees are the windmills, the Lookout, the canals during the day and at night. We enjoyed the Hop-on/Hop-off bus tour. I would highly recommend staying the heart of old town. We stayed in the Victoria Hotel which is in the heart of the city across from Central Station. 

Bring your walking shoes, your camera and your sense of adventure. 

Our next visit will be during tulip season during the month of April.
