Dining aboard our Danube River Cruise

Where do I begin? More than 20 years ago I fell in love with ocean cruising.  It was an easy way to travel to multiple destinations, unpack once and land somewhere new each day.  People ask what it is about river cruising that I love so much…the short answer is EVERYTHING!! River cruising brings you the same ease of travel, but takes you to the heart of the country, to the small towns and villages as well as the large cities.  This is an intimate form of travel, the ship we were on carried 145 passengers and 51 crew.  You will have the opportunity to really get to know and have meaningful conversations with the other passengers and crew.  The passengers were from 19 nationalities, but the language spoken on board was English.  Think of the ship as a floating hotel, where you can come and go from the ship with the ease of walking in and out of your hotel since you are usually docked right in the middle of the town.  The day can be as active or relaxing as you choose.  You can hike up to the Castle ruins or stroll leisurely through the old town square, or both.Evenings are filled with local cuisine and entertainment.  Depending on the itinerary, maybe you will attend a Mozart concert in Vienna, a wine tasting at one of the many vineyards across Europe, or an illuminations cruise in Budapest, Hungary.If you love ocean cruising…river cruising should be the next vacation you plan.  If you hate ocean cruising …river cruising should be the next vacation you plan.  If you want to hear more reasons why I love river cruising and to start planning your first, or next, river cruise be sure to reach out to me!
