Beautiful Castle on the Rhine

    Traveling to Europe gave me first-hand experience with the Covid restrictions and protocols. The most important lesson is that the dread of presenting all the paperwork is the worst part. Once your documentation is presented at the airport, everything flows smoothly, almost to the point of normalcy.

    Of all the places we visited in Europe, we were not disappointed anywhere we traveled because all the sights, sounds, and experiences were amazing, as was the food. The way history was brought to life, the massive cathedrals with their towering spires, and the architecture with the ornate designs were awe-inspiring. Considering how many centuries many of the buildings had been standing their condition was unbelievable. Not to be outdone, the scenery was breathtaking. My favorite site from the cruise was the astronomical clock at the Norte-Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg, France. The current clock dates back to 1843 and has so many aspects of time, including the current rotation of the earth around the sun. It is a site you must see to believe. One could easily spend hours exploring all the aspects of the clock and still come away wanting more.
