COOKING CLASS IN ROME
TAKE A COOKING CLASS WHILE ON VACATION
One of the best ways to learn about a destination is through its cuisine. I love Italian food and while in Rome, Italy, took a cooking class in hopes of learning how to prepare a couple of my favorite Italian dishes. After meeting the instructor and other classmates, off to the market we went to shop for our ingredients. We also picked up some snacks and then headed back to the cooking school to begin preparing the meal. Our group of five created a 5-course meal under the guidance of our instructor who made the learning process simple and fun. Plus, he shared additional cooking tips with us, suggested other traditional dishes to try while in Italy, as well as provided restaurant recommendations. Our instructor was a wealth of information!
When we sat down to eat our lunch, we were all excited to taste the foods we had learned to prepare. After lots of photo taking, we sat down to savor our creations. I must say, we were all very proud of our accomplishments. Together, we had prepared a delicious meal, learned a few new cooking skills and during the process new friendships were formed.
Whether you take a half day or full day cooking class, it is an enjoyable experience that you will remember for years to come.
