What a fun adventure trip my clients went on. Hiking all over New Zealand and Australia!!! Here is their overview of this amazing trip!! Jim and I are back from our New Zealand and Australia trip and I just wanted to let you know that "everything" went off perfectly. All the planes and transportation was on time, hotels were great. The Thala Beach Hotel in Cairns was beautiful. We had a trip we will never forget. The hiking in New Zealand was very challenging but beautiful, I would recommend Ultimate Hike to anyone, they are wonderful. Also Raw Travel in Australia was also a great company. The best decision my husband and I made when we decided to go to New Zealand was to sign up and hike for 6 days doing the Grand Traverse Hike. It is a very challenging hike but well worth it. We would climb up a mountain side one day and cross a prairie the next. There were many streams to go over and bridges to cross. Waterfalls to see and even some snow. The scenery is beautiful, you never know what you will see around the next bend. The huts we stayed in were very nice and the food was fantastic. The guides were amazing, very friendly and always helpful. I can't say enough about New Zealand's beauty and being able to say that I completed this challenging hike. We then went on to Australia and completed the Great Ocean Hike with Raw Travel. The Great Ocean Hike is amazing. We walked the whole thing over 70 miles in 7 days. A lot of walking on the beach with the waves crashing in which was beautiful. There was also a lot of inland walking with nice outlooks of the ocean. Raw Travel was fantastic, we always had a van to carry our lunches and to meet us at a set spot with them. Hotels at night were very nice and food was great. Thank you so much for all your help in putting this together for us and please thank the Australian people who put it together over there. New Zealand was by far our favorite! Thank you again, we will keep you in mind for any future trips.
