My favorite vacation since becoming a travel advisor was a holiday market cruise from Frankfurt to Basel. I traveled with my sister, marking her first journey to Europe. We especially enjoyed two days at Frankfurt's Christmas Markets—a welcome change from merely passing through the city en route to the airport. Strasbourg, my favorite French city, was another highlight; we shopped at the Christmas markets until we physically couldn't carry any more. The timing of this trip, right after COVID restrictions were lifted, made it even more special. Not only did we have the joy of returning to Europe, but we also formed new friendships, particularly with a couple from England. Celebrating my sister's birthday during the trip added an extra layer of sentiment. This experience reinforced my enthusiasm for river cruising and gave me new narratives to share with clients. It encapsulated the kind of vacation that I love to help others plan—filled with memorable sights, shared experiences, and the joy of travel.
