Coffee with a view

We had the most amazing experience at the Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa resort in Mexico, where we spent a delightful week. This all-inclusive resort offers a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury, catering to families, couples, and friends alike. Its wide array of amenities includes multiple pools, a water park, live entertainment, rejuvenating spas, golf facilities, pristine white sand beaches, and much more.

Our journey commenced with a direct flight from Washington DC to Cancun, Mexico. A short 20-minute ride through AmStar Transportation brought us to the resort from the airport. As we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing towels and chilled beverages for the entire family. The staff quickly took care of our luggage and escorted us to the preferred lounge for a smooth check-in process. After a quick snack at the lounge, we eagerly headed to our room.

Opting for the Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View with two queen beds turned out to be a fantastic choice. The room was spacious and cozy, and the view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking. Alongside the two queen beds, the room featured a pull-out sofa, a convenient desk area with two chairs, a well-stocked mini-fridge containing bottled water, sodas, and beer, a coffee station, two large closets, and an in-room safe for added security.

The bathroom was designed with a large walk-in shower and a separate toilet area. While it embraced the modern trend of open-concept bathrooms, it also offered shutters that could be closed for increased privacy, a sliding main door, and frosted doors for the shower and toilet area.

The balcony was a true highlight of our stay, complete with a Jacuzzi, a small table with chairs, and a spacious day bed perfect for an afternoon siesta. Our room's proximity to the lively pool area allowed us to enjoy the music and activities, yet the sliding doors ensured a peaceful retreat when we wanted to relax indoors.

The resort's dining options were simply outstanding, with a selection of 10 restaurants and 12 bars to choose from. Each meal was a culinary delight, featuring fresh and delicious dishes. I highly recommend trying the spicy soy sauce at the hibachi restaurant, but be prepared for a kick! Additionally, we loved the convenience of room service for breakfast and late-night snacking.

The beach was a picturesque paradise, boasting soft white sand and crystal-clear blue water. Without any special gear, we had the pleasure of observing fish, stingrays, and starfish. There were plenty of seating areas, and preferred guests even had access to a separate section with Bali beds, loungers, and umbrellas.

The resort's pool facilities were equally impressive, catering to all ages and preferences. There was a water play area for the younger kids and a water park, while preferred guests could enjoy a lazy river area. Furthermore, two kids' clubs were available, and although there weren't many children during our visit, the attentive counselors kept them engaged and entertained.

The staff at Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa were exceptionally friendly and professional, ensuring our every need was met. The entire resort was immaculately clean, and the level of service provided was top-notch.

Our week at the Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa resort was nothing short of incredible, and we are already looking forward to returning. It truly is a dream destination for a perfect vacation experience.
