Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Walt Disney World

For her 6th birthday, my daughter wanted to experience the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (BBB).  When we went to Walt Disney World for her first trip, she was too young for the experience and then when covid closed the parks, it seemed like the wait took forever for it to return.  While we did experience a different kind of makeover prior to BBB reopening, there's nothing like this for little ones in the parks!

To start, we were given a menu of options to look over while we awaited our dressmaker.  In addition, my daughter was given the choice of the title she wanted for the day.  Some options were "your highness", "princess", "queen", etc.  followed by her name.  We chose our top three options for outfits and then we looked at the makeover options as well.  You can choose from some very elaborate outfits and some families choose to bring their own.  We brought our own just in case because my daughter has a hard time with some textures under the dresses.  We have some tried and true dresses that are very well-loved.  However, I was determined for her to try out some new dresses because it was such a special visit.  She chose a beautiful Cinderella dress!

There is a wonderful dressing room experience where the little ones get to meet the Fairy Godmother (from the animated Cinderella) before they begin trying on their outfits to make their choice.  Then, we awaited our introduction to her personal Fairy Godmother in Training.  Ashley came over to introduce herself to my daughter and then walked her to the salon to proceed with the makeover.  We had a photographer taking so many pictures of the experience while she had her hair, makeup, and nails done.  Then, she was sprinkled in with "as much dust as I am allowed" lol.  The reveal was photographed and then I took additional pictures with my daughter and Ashley from BBB.  We were given a drawstring bag with all additional makeup, nail polish, face jewels, and additional supplies to use to refresh her look.

After her makeover, we went to the Royal Portrait Studio in Sir Mickey's so my daughter could continue the experience by having her very own photo shoot (with a glass slipper)!  I was also included in the photo shoot so we had some great photos together to commemorate the moment.  After she had those photos, we proceeded to some special park areas such as Cinderella's fountain so she could take some additional photos.

She wore her hair the same way for 3 more days and the dress is still constantly worn to special places like the grocery store.  It was a definite bucket list experience for both of us.  I would love to do it one more time with her before she grows out of her dress up phase.  I think next time, we may do one on a Disney Cruise ship!
