Summer Adventure in Orlando
I love epic adventures!! One of our longest vacations included 16 days, driving over 2,600 miles, spending 15 nights in three different hotels & resorts, walking over 50 miles, enjoying 8 pool days, over 1,000 photos, and countless memories together!
I absolutely love going on vacation with my family! I love the quality time spent together, without agenda or distraction. I love being able to focus on my people! I love going on new adventures! I love the memories that we make! So, what did do, and where did we go?
We spent two days driving to Orlando. From Kansas City, it was two 10-hour days, with an overnight just south of Nashville. Our kiddos, who are great travelers anyway, were champs!! They even got to experience their first meal at Cracker Barrel, and they are fans!
Then, we spent 6 nights at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, located on the Monorail, right next to Magic Kingdom! It was absolutely amazing!! We enjoyed 6 days at the Disney parks, complete with hitting Early Entry hours for Resort Guests and Extended Evening hours for Deluxe Resort Guests. It was our first trip where Samuel was tall enough to ride most of the roller coasters, and we loved experiencing everything together. No Rider Swap needed!!
After our Magical week, we headed to Marriott's Grande Vista Resort and enjoyed 7 nights and 7 lazy pool days with our grandparents and cousins! It was the perfect vacation to recover from our Disney vacation! Haha!! Thank goodness for a 2-Bedroom Villa with a full kitchen and washer/dryer, though!
I had really been looking forward to this vacation, and it did not disappoint! I can't wait for the next one!
