Walt Disney World Mobile Ordering

Disney dining looks a little different these days -with no dining plans but the food is just as delicious and being at Disney seems to make even the most mundane food taste better (hello, Disney popcorn!).Let's dive into one aspect of Disney dining that has seen a major surge - and with good reason - mobile ordering. Mobile ordering has been a favorite of our family since it arrived on the Disney scene - but we thought we would share some of the things we love best about mobile ordering at Disney! Now if you will excuse us, we have to day dream about lunch at Satu'li Canteen in Pandora at Animal Kingdom. And yes, they do have mobile ordering! 

Walt Disney World is known for its amazing food choices. This is not limited just to the table service restaurants; Quick Service options at select locations throughout all of Walt Disney World parks and resorts allow you to try a wide variety of food and drinks. It is no secret that I move a small army around the parks. With mobile ordering, Disney has now made my life so much easier. And I promise you this is now going to be your secret weapon in combating the hangry child or adult, and the best thing is that it can be done from just about anywhere.  First, make sure that you have your My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile devices. To access this secret weapon, open your app and on the bottom right click on the 3 bars and the click on Mobile Food Orders and create a new order! Make sure your notifications are turned on, and follow the steps to completing your order. And just like magic - you are done! Here are my 5 top reasons to use mobile ordering at Walt Disney World.  1.    Paying Made Easy – in this new COVID world that we are navigating, the fewer things we touch, the better; and mobile ordering gives us takes care of this for us. No more carrying cash, you just need to load your card into the app and go! All major credit cards/debit cards, Apple Pay, and my personal favorite, Disney Gift Cards.  2. Completely Customizable – We all have that one kiddo that just does not want mayo or ketchup, and the one that wants extra pickles. Or even more importantly extra French fries! Easy peasy with mobile ordering. The options are endless and completely how you want it. Gone are the days of having to wait in line because you need to customize your meal.  3.    Allergy Friendly – And speaking of customizable- what about when it isn't just preference but dietary need. Do you have a little one with an allergy? We do! Mobile ordering to the rescue again. Our daughter has a peanut/tree nut, dairy, gluten allergy and we simply select food off that menu, and we know she will be completely safe.  4.    No one gets Hangry – We have all been there, "No I am not hungry right now", and you feed everyone else. Then you are standing in line for a ride, and the hangry meltdown begins. Mobile Ordering to the rescue. Start placing that order while you are in line, select your time for after you have enjoyed the attraction, and voila, food is ready and hangry is stopped in its tracks. Pro-tip: mobile ordering times can fill up quickly so always place those food orders as early as you can and have a plan b for unfortunate melt downs.  5.    Pick-up Windows – no more standing in long lines. Mobile ordering has its own line. Once you are notified from the app that your food is ready, go to the mobile order pick up window and grab your food. Less time wasted, more time to enjoy your meal and get back to the parks! When you are on vacation make your life simple, use mobile ordering! Make sure that if you do know when you want to stop for lunch or dinner you place those orders as early as possible so that you can keep yourself fueled and ready for that next magical adventure throughout the parks.
