Winter Holidays in Vail
We have had the good fortune to spend the winter holiday break in Vail, Colorado many times. From the snow-covered mountains to the cobblestone streets with festive decorations, Vail resort is the idyllic winter wonderland. It's charming pedestrian village is filled with shops, restaurants, and activities. Our kids have enjoyed ice skating in the village, surrounded by the evergreen trees adorned with twinkling lights and, when we were lucky, snowflakes falling softly around us.
Vail is renowned for its skiing and snowboarding. The fresh powder and crisp air make for an exhilarating day on the mountain. The vastness of the terrain makes it easy to find runs for every skill level. My family likes to start with a quick run in Game Creek Bowl on our way to the back bowls.
The fun doesn't stop when the slopes close. There is no shortage of apres-ski experiences in the villages or you can experience fine dining overlooking the beautiful Gore Range in The 10th, Vail’s premier on-mountain fine-dining restaurant, located atop Gondola One. You can also give your legs a rest day by visiting one of the many spas followed by a leisurely stroll through the villages taking in the many world-class art galleries.
If you are looking for that iconic ski/snowboard vacation with great terrain, abundant dining and shopping then Vail, Colorado is a great option. We have so many fond memories of our family vacations there and I would love to help you plan a trip to the winter wonderland too.
