I was excited to return to Ireland after a few years away due to COVID.  It had been a few years since my family was able to go and see family and friends.  My wife was born and raised in Ireland so it is always a great time when we go for a visit.  The trip started in Dublin and we were able to enjoy the city for 4 days.  While there we went to the city center, explored areas on the north side of the city as well as the south side of the city.  We then rented a car and headed to Dundalk, my wife's hometown.  While in Dundalk we visited friends and family as well as making a few day trip to see local sights.  Blackrock is a very nice town nearby that is always a favorite to visit while in this part of the world.   There was a great family reunion that we attended, then we headed back to Dublin preparing for a flight that would take us on to Germany and Austria for the next prtion of our adventure.
