Alaskan Cruisetour

I have to say that my all-time favorite experience thus far was our Alaskan Cruisetour. We spent seven days on land and seven days at sea. This type of tour let us experience parts of Alaska that are not possible with just a cruise alone.

Our first night we stayed in Fairbanks and explored the city. We traveled by luxury charter bus into Denali Park and stayed two nights at a lodge. The Great One was covered in clouds, but the wildlife did not disappoint. We visited a dogsled kennel and learned how they train the dogs for competition and survival. We boarded a Deluxe Dome Railcar on the Alaskan Railway for our trek into Anchorage where we stayed overnight.

My favorite spot was in Homer. I fell in love with Homer and Seldovia which is just a short boat ride away. On our final day on land, we traveled to the ship in Seward where we boarded the ship for the last half of our journey.

While onboard we visited ports such as Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Icy Strait. We sailed through Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier. We sailed through the inside passage and ended the cruise in Vancouver.

This type of split land/sea tour gave me a more complete experience in Alaska. I highly suggest to anyone thinking about visiting Alaska, to include a few days pre or post-cruise on land. I am more than happy to help you find the perfect option for your Alaskan cruise.
