I was recently honored to get to visit a whole new region of Mexico this year. Queretaro, Mexico to be exact, Have you heard of it? Me neither, until I was invited on a work retreat in February 2022. I feel quickly and passionately in LOVE with this whole region. It was the chance to experience true authentic inner Mexico with not a beach in site. The town had me immediately swooning with it's cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and brightly colored climbing foliage.

My favorite experience was my morning walks on the quiet streets while the locals still slept. The golden morning sunlight lit up the the small town streets, making them ideal to photograph. I also enjoyed the small town feel and the ability to easily walk wherever I needed to go. 

I will say this location is not for he first time traveler to Mexico. To thrive in this location for your vacation you need to be fluent in Spanish, no English menus at restaurants, and finding locals that speak English will not be common.
