GRAFFITI AND STREET ART TOUR IN GETSEMANI

Near the walled city is a neighborhood called Getsemani that is not to be missed when visiting Cartagena, Colombia. Getsemani is an off the beaten path place to visit that has become a trendy and hip, as a result of Cartagena's exploding gentrification.  The colorful street murals were created by both local and international artists.

As I walked the streets in Getsemani, I was impressed with the creativity and talent of the artists. In the murals you can see and feel the joy, beauty, and pride for the neighborhood. While others, we were told by our guide reflect the history and social issues of Cartagena. The walk through these art filled streets was a highlight during my trip to Cartagena, Colombia.
