Dune Bashing in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

WHAT IS DUNE BASHING? 

Off road driving in a 4x4 vehicle to explore the desert.    

We were looking for an off-the-beaten-path desert adventure and dune bashing sounded like it would fit the bill.  We got into a 4x4 vehicle, buckled up and had our cameras ready.  After entering the desert, our driver stopped to deflate the tires a bit and then we were off.  His last words before the action began were “Hold On!”  Our driver began driving the vehicle at different speeds to maneuvering the terrain and we were slipping and sliding on the dunes and sand was flying every which way.  It felt like a roller coaster ride.  In between screams and laughter we were able to take a few pictures.  At one point, we stopped to watch the sunset and walked some in the sand. 

Dune bashing is a fantastic way to experience the desert and get your adrenaline flowing.
