Matterhorn (via Zermatt)

Visiting the beautiful country of Switzerland has always been on my bucket list.  Since I was a little girl I've grown up celebrating my Swiss heritage as a folk dancer and even convinced by boyfriend to become my partner, now my husband.  He too has Swiss heritage.   Here's some not to be missed hot spots from my travels.

•  Appenzell is stunning and we even had the experience of the cows coming down from the hills.  The colorful customs of the Swiss Cowboys and how they decorate the cows - so beautiful. 
• Lucerne with its world famous bridge, lovely lake and Mt. Stanserhorn.  Take a ride on the Cambrio to the top of the mountain for magnificent views.
• St. Moritz known for amazing skiing and shopping!  Great for hiking as well as wind surfing on the lake.
• Gruyeres is in the French region.  Be sure to take a tour through the cheese factory.  Also not to be missed - take a stroll through the historic village located on the beautiful hillside.  Truly a step back in time.
