Bratislava Slovakia

Wonderful European river cruise  on the AmaLea Romantic Danube cruise.  Our cruise included stops/tours in Passau, Germany...Linz ( took the 1/2 day tour to Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic while docked in Linz ), Melk, Durnstein, Weisenkirchen and Vienna, Austria...Bratislva, Slovakia and ending in Budapest, Hungary. The AmaLea is a relatively new river boat ( just launched in 2018 ) and was staffed with great cruise personel.  Scenery was memorable on the Wachau Valley section of the Danube River. Every stop/tour was interesting and the local guides used by Ama were very good and fluent in English. 

The food was outstanding. The pastries and bread were to die for. Wonderful fresh fruits, salads, hot, delicious soups. Lots of choices. The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant was a fun delicious experience.

The tours in each port were well organized and informative. There were tours for different levels of activity thus catering to all levels of physical abilities. I usually chose the active tours, hikes to castles and the bike ride along the Danube in Weissenkirchen. The ride took us through quaint villages, vineyards and apple orchards. The scenery in the Wachau Valley was gorgeous.
