We had an opportunity to take a boat tour through the mangrove forest at Tres Palos Lagoon enjoying the beautiful flora and amazing diversity of endemic bird species that live around Acapulco. Our guide drove a typical motorboat through the mangrove tunnels, and we saw tropical birds, a floating garden of wildflowers, fisherman and much more. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious lunch consisting of local foods including fresh fish. Exploring this tropical nature preserve is a must do when vacationing in Acapulco.
