Winemaker showing us her amazing vineyards!

Last month I had the pleasure of accompanying 8 guests to one of my favorite wine regions in Italy.  Here we stayed at a beautiful villa nestled in the lush, mountainous countryside of Montepulciano in the Siena region of Tuscany. 

Here we spent our days in our remote villa enjoying the beauty of the area while hanging out by the pool drinking the wine we brought back from the wineries that we visited. We also had the opportunity to have a cooking class at our villa.  We made homemade pasta, Pici pasta, wild board stew, stuffed vegetables followed by a delicious Tiramisu. 

We had a fun-filled week visiting wineries of Montepulciano but also in Montalcino where Brunello is King.  During the visits to the wineries, we had the pleasure of enjoying a homemade lunch,  including homemade pasta, meats, cheeses and vegetables of the region paired with the wine offered by the wineries.

Another highlight of the trip we had the opportunity to have a day visit to Umbria visiting an organic, olive oil farm followed by a lunch paired with the olive oil! 

It was the ultimate food and wine experience created by An Epicurean Voyage.
