The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa is the largest museum of contemporary African art in the world and a must see when traveling to Cape Town, South Africa. The museum is located at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in a stunning nine story building designed by legendary architect Thomas Heatherwick. The building is the old grain silo.
This is one of the best art galleries I have visited in South Africa. The pieces are unique, powerful and thought provoking. There are 100 gallery spaces and I recommend planning to spend at least half a day to see a stunning array of artwork.
