Day 1: The Adventure Begins

My Australian adventure has begun, and I couldn't be more thrilled! After a day of travel and an overnight stay in Hervey Bay, I ventured to K'Gari Island, previously known as Fraser Island, which is a world heritage listed site. The island, made entirely of sand, is a true marvel. I am delighted to be staying at the Kingfisher Bay Resort, where the melodic bird sounds create a peaceful atmosphere. Today, I plan to explore the island by taking a leisurely walk, enjoying some pool time, and perhaps even treating myself to a relaxing spa session. The eco-night walk promises to be the cherry on top of this incredible experience. I have dreamed of visiting this island for 20 years, and I am eager to immerse myself in its natural beauty and discover all it has to offer.

Day 2: Exploring the Island

Exploring the beauty of Fraser Island was an unforgettable experience. The 4wd adventure took me to stunning rainforests, picturesque freshwater spots, and along the iconic 75 mile beach. I even visited the Maheno shipwreck, walked in Eli Creek, and swam in Lake McKenzie (it was chilly). The diverse landscapes and wild Dingos made the day truly memorable. The last nights sunset which was spectacular.

Day 3: Guided Ranger Walk

I Embarked on an exhilarating adventure last night! I went on a guided ranger walk at night and witnessed an incredible display of wildlife. Within minutes, I saw a sugar glider effortlessly glide across the trees, a once-in-a-lifetime sight! We also encountered two types of bats and a scorpion, which I captured on camera. Our guide led us to the water's edge, where we spotted two squids, numerous fish, and even a sea snake! Next, we ventured into the Wallum and discovered an abundance of King Toads while searching for frogs. Finally, we met the local celebrity, a eel named Barbara. It was an incredible experience, and our phenomenal guide made it even more enjoyable.  4o
