Falconry in Killarney

We signed up to do falconry while in Killarney,Ireland. My family loved every minute of it. It was something different that we had never done before. We went on a walk while the handler did commands and "Arizona" the harris hawk would come fly down. He said as the hawk got more comfortable with us, he would go from our hand, to shoulder or head. Arizona did exactly that. It was a very hands-on experience. We got turns for her to land on our glove, shoulder or head.

At the end of the walk, the guide brought out 3 different sizes of owls. We could pet them and get as close to them as we wanted. They sat on our shoulder while we got pictures. It was such a cool experience.
