My Group at Military Appreciation Event

Buckle up for the ride as I share the highlights of my recent adventure hosting 43 veterans and their families on a five-night Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Carnival Breeze. Picture the excitement as folks from Ohio, Texas, and Louisiana gathered in Galveston for our cruise kick-off. Despite a rainy start, our pre-cruise stay at Tru by Hilton turned out to be a delightful surprise with laughter-filled moments and delicious food at a local Tiki Bar.

Embarkation day was a breeze with Faster to Fun passes, though not without a minor passport hiccup. Once onboard, the party began with delicious food, laughter, and exploration. Post-dinner activities ranged from card games to live entertainment, setting the tone for the nights ahead.

Day two, an At Sea Day, featured seaside brunch and a lively dance/fitness class. The day continued with a scavenger hunt, cornhole tournament, elegant dinner, and evening entertainment.

In Cozumel, activities varied from paddleboarding to beach club relaxation. Dinner diversity continued, followed by games and entertainment including the Love and Marriage show and the Carnival Quest scavenger hunt.

Progresso offered individual pursuits, followed by an 80s Glow party and more late-night fun. The following At Sea Day included a military appreciation event, cornhole tournament, and cocktail party to celebrate our last night together.

Embarkation day brought farewells and reflections on our memorable journey aboard the Carnival Breeze, with special appreciation for Cruise Director Amber's exceptional service. Until our next sea escapade, let the post-cruise blues begin!
