My wife and I are taking a cruise together in the Mediterranean late summer of this year.  Although she's not a huge fan of cruises she picked one out where we hit Italy, Greece, and one stop in Turkey.  Today I booked 2 days in a Roman hotel.  Although I may cancel and get closer to the cruise port at Civitavecchia or Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport.  The airport has reasonably priced buses that you can book beforehand to take you to central Rome.  Stay tuned for more fun as we research this fantastic area of southern Europe!!!
