During my many years as a travel agent, I have had the opportunity to book many great family vacations. Most have been rather ordinary, but there are a couple that really stand out in my mind. The first was for a family of 25 that wanted to do an escorted tour to Italy. The vendor I was using would not allow them to join a regularly scheduled group because one of the family members was blind and traveled with a very well-trained seeing-eye dog. I was able to get them their own bus and private tour guide. They followed along with a regularly scheduled group. They absolutely loved it! They were able to spread out on the bus, there were no issues with the dog, and their guide could make the trip much more personal.

The other was a group of 23 that went to Australia. The family's ages ranged from 2 to 93. I was able to select activities that were enjoyable for all ages. A couple of years later, I helped the same family with an African safari.
