In November, 2014, I had the opportunity to take an AMA Waterways Christmas Market Cruise. We departed from Budapest and sailed down the Danube, visiting Vienna, Austria; Passau, Germany; Regensburg, Germany; and Nuremburg, Germany. When we disembarked in Nuremburg, we had the option of taking a 2 day extension in Prague, Czech Republic, which I did. The experience was wonderful. The accommodations on the ship were lovely and the food was outstanding. The crew was so willing to attend to our every need. The majority of the shore excursions were included in the price. The guides were excellent. Visiting the Christmas Markets with all the sounds, smells, and tastes as well as a wide variety of Christmas items to purchase was a magical experience.
