Bordeaux is one of the most incredible cruise ports that I have ever visited.

It took nearly 5 hours to sail in, requiring the pilot to join us by helicopter the evening before arriving. After navigating through the narrow channel and passing under two bridges (one of which had to be raised) we docked right in the city center! The gangway literally landed us on a walking path in a beautiful park. 

The city had so many amazing dining options and historical buildings.
