In the Swiss Alps - Gruyere

We traveled early in December of 2023.  On our arrival in Zurich the snow was really coming down.  Being from south Louisiana, we do not have much snow so it was a wonderful treat for us.

We traveled with Globus Journeys and visited many beautiful areas. 

From Zurich we traveled to the French speaking region.  We enjoyed Fondue in Gruyere and the beautiful Christmas Market in Montreux.

After a couple of days, we moved on to Lucerne, such a beautiful and vibrant city.  We ascended Mount Pilatus by gondola car.  Very exhilarating and so beautiful to be high in the Swiss Alps.  The scenery is incredible.

Next we moved on to Lugano which is in the Italian region and Oh the food!!  Just as in Italy.  This may have been my favorite location.

We saw so many sights, visited castles, chocolate factories and cookie factories.  We enjoyed a lake cruise and a great rooftop bar or two.
