View from Capri Island

A trip to Sorrento Italy isn't complete without a day trip to the beautiful island of Capri.  When I was in Sorrento in 2018 we took a Private Boat Tour to the Island of Capri.  The ride lasted about an hour.  Our driver took us to Anna Capri as the main part of the island was busy.  We docked and had lunch at a wonderful seaside restaurants.  I had the catch of the day with potatoes and carrots.  The setting was picturesque and we had a lovely day to eat outside over looking the water.

We spent a few hours wondering around the island - climbing a lot of stairs and getting some great views.  Then had some beach time before boarding the ship and sailing just off shore a bit so we could snorkel and swim in the ocean.  The water is such a deep blue color and so clear.  Then we took off to see some of the caves like the Blue Grotto.  The Blue Grotto was really busy that day so our captain suggested we go to some different caves where we could see the formations like the Blue Grotto.  We enjoyed this very much and felt like even though we didn't get to see the Blue Grotto that we got to see what the caves look like.

Then we sailed back to Sorrento and had Gelato on the pier.  A perfect ending to a wonderful day!
