Paella cooking class in Valencia
Learning to make authentic paella in Valencia was a dream come true! We were greeted by the chef and escorted to his outdoor cooking station and handed our aprons. Once the staff plunked down bottles of ice, cold beer and refreshing bottles of wine, we were given our instructions. Our group did everything from picking the vegetables right out of the garden to chopping ingredients to stirring the largest pan of paella I have ever seen!
As we waited for the paella to cook, the chef took us on a tour of his farm, and his charming restaurant. Once the paella was done, we all enjoyed an amazing meal of the delicious paella and, of course, Valencia oranges!
This experience was a never forget adventure! Getting immersed into the culture is certainly the best way to travel!
