Inclusions of a River Cruise & FAQ's
River Cruises are a perfect way to see it all, but unpack once! Similar in a sense to an all inclusive, you for the most part pay one price and get it all. Included in your cruise fare usually (but not always!) consists of:
- Your choice of accommodation and stateroom size - all rooms have a river view! Some rooms have a balcony or veranda, and all rooms have TV's, phones, climate control, a safe and refrigerator.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner, with wine, beer and soft drinks included at meal times. All food and wine is locally sourced to the countries you're sailing through. If you're sailing through France, expect French food and wine options!
- Free wifi throughout the ship
- Shore excursions that consist of guided city tours, musical experiences, food and wine tours, guided bike tours, hiking tours and more
- Bike rentals while in Port *not all on river cruises
Additional to your inclusions, elevators are on most ships, with access to usually two or the three decks (usually one of the three decks are staterooms only, so you won't miss anything).
Most ships are equipped with a whirlpool or heated swimming pool, with saunas available on select ships. There is also always an open rooftop deck, see attached photo!
Beauty Salons and Spas are on most ships, as well as fitness centers.
River Cruising is a essentially a floating hotel, providing all the luxuries while on board, and all the adventure while ashore!
Some of my favorite River Cruise partners are on AmaWaterways, Viking, Tauck, and Avalon. Let's chat to match you with your perfect cruise!
