A Beautiful Moment in Tokyo
One of the most beautiful moments from any of my travels was in the heart of Tokyo. It was around dusk, and I was so tired from a full day of walking around the city (if you’ve been to Tokyo, you know how much walking this is)!
I couldn’t find my hotel (and let’s be honest, I was probably looking a bit lost). I asked a lady on the street if she knew where my hotel was. I showed her my map and where my hotel was meant to be, and she looked at me so kindly, and waved for me to follow her. She walked me over a mile to my hotel - as in she walked me, a total stranger who was visiting her country, 30 minutes out of her way, to help me. It seems like such a simple thing, but that extreme act of generosity is something I will never forget. I was in awe of how nice she was, and saw the act of giving throughout the rest of my travels in Japan.
